If the answer to this question is yes, why not try and bring it to the world’s attention by using the #WorldPhotographyDay tag on Instagram. If your photo catches the attention of the World Photography Day website team, you could see it featured on this page of their site. The page is updated fairly frequently so you can check periodically to see if it appears.
You don’t need a state of the art camera or need to be a professional photographer, all you need is to capture something a lit bit different from a picture of what’s on your plate at dinner time :). It goes without saying that the photo needs to be of a fairly good standard and preferably unique in some way.
In short, World Photography Day is all about celebrating the art, craft, science and history of photography so if your picture captures the imagination, why not post it and see who notices? Sadly, World Photography Day 2021 has now passed for this year (August 19th) but like all “World… Day” events, it’ll be back with a bang in 2022.
Nevertheless, keep snapping and using the #WorldPhotographyDay hashtag all year round!
